Little Line Kitchen & Provisions Southern restaurant (US)

Overview

If you’re in the mood for a cozy, inviting spot that serves up delicious comfort food with a twist, Little Line Kitchen & Provisions in Charleston is a must-visit. Nestled in the heart of the city at 176 Line St, this charming restaurant has become a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re popping in for brunch with friends or settling in for a cozy dinner, Little Line is the perfect place to enjoy fresh, seasonal dishes that showcase the best of Southern flavors.

One of the first things you’ll notice about Little Line Kitchen & Provisions is the inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor creates a warm, welcoming vibe, with wooden tables, exposed brick walls, and plenty of natural light flooding in through large windows. It’s the kind of space that feels like home but with the added bonus of an expertly curated menu.

The menu here is a delightful mix of Southern comfort food and creative modern twists. Take the shrimp and grits, for example. It’s a classic Charleston dish, but the version at Little Line adds a unique flair with a rich, flavorful sauce that elevates the dish to something truly special. The crispy fried chicken is another standout, perfectly seasoned and paired with a side of creamy mashed potatoes that will have you coming back for more.

If you’re looking to try something a bit different, the chef’s specials are always worth checking out. During a recent visit, I had the pleasure of enjoying a smoked pork belly dish that was cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of savory and sweet. It was clear that the chefs at Little Line Kitchen & Provisions take great care in sourcing quality ingredients and crafting dishes that are both innovative and comforting.

For those who enjoy a great cocktail, the drink menu at Little Line doesn’t disappoint. The craft cocktails are expertly made, with fresh ingredients and unique combinations that complement the food perfectly. I highly recommend trying the house-made lemonade cocktail, which adds a refreshing touch to your meal.

What sets Little Line Kitchen & Provisions apart is their commitment to using fresh, local ingredients. They partner with local farms and purveyors to ensure that every dish is made with the highest quality products available. This commitment to sourcing fresh ingredients shines through in every bite. Whether it’s the farm-to-table vegetables or the fresh seafood, everything tastes as though it was prepared with care and attention to detail.

Another thing that’s worth mentioning is the service. The staff at Little Line are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. On my last visit, they took the time to explain the different dishes and offer recommendations based on what I was in the mood for. It’s this level of personalized service that makes the dining experience here so enjoyable.

When it comes to dessert, don’t skip out on the seasonal pies. Whether you’re in the mood for a rich pecan pie or a tangy lemon meringue, the desserts at Little Line Kitchen & Provisions are the perfect way to end your meal on a sweet note. I’ve tried both and can honestly say they’re some of the best I’ve had in Charleston.

Little Line’s location also plays a big part in its appeal. Situated at 176 Line St, Charleston, SC, this spot is just a short walk from some of the city’s other popular attractions. Whether you’re exploring the historic district or checking out the nearby shops, it’s a great place to stop for a bite to eat. The location is relaxed but still offers an elevated dining experience, making it a great spot for any occasion.

Overall, Little Line Kitchen & Provisions is a gem in Charleston’s vibrant culinary scene. From the expertly crafted menu to the welcoming atmosphere, it’s clear that this restaurant puts thought and care into every aspect of the dining experience. If you’re ever in the area, make sure to stop by-you won’t be disappointed.

A great tiny dining spot off the beaten path in Charleston. Just a few counter seats inside and plenty of seating outside. The biscuits are off the charts fluffy on the inside crunchy on the outside. Had the fried chicken with two biscuits and two eggs. So happy.

We are staying in Charleston this weekend. Stopped in today for brunch. The food was delicious but the experience was phenomenal. The staff were pleasant, personable and helpful. They took time to share the best places to explore while we munched.

We had lunch here today on our way out of town. The space is small inside but they also had outdoor seating which was perfect for us as we had our baby/stroller in tow! The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was really good! We had the Brunchie BLT with mac salad and their spinach salad with fried chicken and honey mustard vinaigrette. The portions were a good size! Would go back if we find ourselves in Charleston again.

I was walking and I stumbled upon this hidden gem and it was definitely not disappointing. The staff greeted us kindly and efficiently. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and within 10 minutes the food was given to us. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. This is breakfast spot will definitely have my recommendation and I highly encourage to give it a try! Thank you so much for the experience!

Little Line is a magical place. The food is fantastic, the staff are always welcoming and warm, the owners are salt-of-the-earth level kind & community-focused, and THE FRIDAY NIGHT SUPPER CLUB IS LIFE-CHANGING for busy families. To know that I can book a fun Friday night and easily pick up a whole meal to feed kids & sitter/grandma is an immeasurable convenience and a sweet thank you to grandma as a sitter. Breakfast is a crowd-pleaser, too, with a parfait for me and BECs for the fam. Every neighborhood should have a sweet spot like this to meet friends for a coffee (and great tea selection!) in the am or wine happy hour all in the same spot. Thanks, Little Line!

It's very small but very cute inside. The food, service and atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries, it was very good! When we were about to leave, they brought out a fresh batch of big chocolate chunk cookies and brownies. We made sure to get one of each. They were both so delicious! Looking forward to coming back here very soon!
